Since 2023, ConnectCommunity church has been investing in sharing the Gospel and uplifting low-resourced communities in Guatemala.

Our goal is three-fold:

1) Share the love of Christ
2) Supply tangible needs through the local church
3) Connect people to a local church

We have ministered in the “basurero” in Jalapa, where families live collecting refuse for recycling to earn $5 a week. The local church is present and ministering to these families, but healthcare, educational, and basic sanitation resources are scarce.

Child abuse is a problem in the impoverished areas of Guatemala. We work with local orphanages that are doing great work in the region to house and restore children.

We also ministered to the elderly. In poor regions, when the family cannot care for their elders, they are left to fend for themselves. A local shelter houses elderly men and women in precarious circumstances, giving them food, a bed, and a place to call home. We come in with supplies and the message of Christ.

Your financial support enables us to continue the work in Guatemala with three focuses: to share the good news of Christ, to resource people through the local church, and to connect people to the family of God.
