OneCommunity, the lead agency of CYC, hosted and coordinated the Community Broadband Adoption Impact & Sustainability Conference (CBAIS) held in Cleveland Ohio June 27-28, 2011. From 23 states, 220 representatives of Sustainable Broadband Adoption (SBA) and Public Computing Center (PCC) projects gathered to discuss strategies to creatively engage, equip, train, and support those left out of our digital society. SBA and PCC projects are grantees of the NTIA’s Broadband Technology Opportunities Program. Conference participants learned from each other, shared best practices and brainstormed solutions. Most importantly, they forged relationships with peers working on similar projects.
